I am a consultant psychiatrist and Executive Medical Director at Birmingham and Solihull Mental health Foundation NHS Trust. I am a fellow of the royal college of psychiatrists, and also hold other roles at the royal college of psychiatrists as chair of the transcultural psychiatry special interest group and specialist advisor for the MTI scheme. I was awarded the prestigious RCPsych ‘Psychiatrist of the Year’ award in 2023.
