I am a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry working in Nottinghamshire. Since childhood, I have always held a detective streak. Possibly that, and a yearn to make positive changes in the world lured me into the arms of psychiatry. The theme of providing mutual support, encouragement and sharing clinical expertise and experience, is what enticed me towards BIPA. I am a fairly new member and raring to build relationships in the BIPA family to work towards its goals. I have a particular interest in medical education and through my role in BIPA endeavour to encourage medical students to traverse the world of psychiatry. I am also enthusiastic about promoting good physical health in doctors and patients as a preventative measure.
Dancing and reading are a hobby and I am always curious to use these non medical avenues, to further boost mental health.
